I don't have a fancy cell phone. This is on purpose. I figure that the more advanced my phone is, the more time I'll spend with it, and I'm already on my laptop so much I'm surprised that my hands haven't fused to the keyboard. That said, the cheapie phone that I've been using for years isn't faring so well these days. It's hard to hear anything with it, and the numbers make an odd noise when I press them. So I got myself a slightly better cheapie phone, one with IMing and email and whatnot. Upg… Continue

...Because I have become one of those people. I bought holiday costumes for my cat and dog. Could be worse, I suppose. At least I don't talk in the theater.
I couldn't help it. I was at Target, picking up various holiday decorations, and there they were, hanging from an endcap like the proverbial apple. A tiny little Santa outfit and an elf hat and ruff. I didn't want to be the person who dresses up their pets, laughing hysterically as pictures are snapped and animals look on wit… Continue

And the t-shirt Christmas is off. It dropped about 20 degrees overnight, so it's rather a lot like Philly here at the moment.
I'd like to mention it was meant to be ironic in the first place.
Cookies are indeed very good. But they are actually called "biscuits" ;)
Think anyone was deeply bothered by my light-hearted posting about female journalists? I think the general light-heartedness may have been the reason why it could have been offensive.
I'm a right wuss when it comes to offending people :( Hence why I worry that I have. So sorry if I offended you. I'll happily distrobute apologies to those that were offended...
I saw your post about applying for part-time work for Game|Life. I'm definitely interested in getting some extra $$ from writing, but there's no way I could do the MMO thing. Good luck finding one, it's SO time-consuming to be able to write about MMOs and be *accurate* with what you say.
But I was thinking, for the "other" position, I'd love to open up a column on gaming and ethics/morality/religion/philosophy. Here are two editorials at the site I write for (unpaid, but fun):

Let me know if it's a viable idea and I'd apply for it. I don't play just RPGs, that's merely what I cover on *that* particular site.
I just wanted to let you know that I have sent an email with my writing samples and resume to Escape Mag. I would love to write for your mag in any way possible and think I would be well qualified.
Just wanted to give you a heads up! Thanks
...cause I live in Durham.
And I want to write for Wired News! What a sweet job.
Let me know if you ever want to hang out in Durham. I live near Northgate Mall.
Your self-deprecation is at Zach Braffian levels though. Congrats...?
