About Me:
After four years of writing about film, I realized that I know far more about gaming than the effects of neo-colonialism upon identities expressed in third-world cinema (sounds like fun, right?). Besides, I started gaming when I was four. It's not a hobby anymore, It's simply a part of who I am.

In 2005, I switched gears and threw myself into the world of game reviewing. I've had the privilege to review some of the best and worst games on the market for sites like GameRevolution, GameShark, and HonestGamers. Freelancing from Milwaukee, WI isn't the easiest task, so I will be moving to San Francisco within the next year. Here's hoping that I meet a few people to make that transition a little easier.

My neglected camera

I really need a new picture. It looks like I have some sort of cranial growth about to pop open, revealing the mutant twin brother I never knew I had. It also looks like I'm taking a leak, seeing as how that is obviously a shower curtain behind me. I guess this would be a good time to finally use that digital camera I bought last year.

Feeling Unworthy

I watched King of Kong last night (finally). It made me feel happy, excited, hopeful, and so many other sappy adjectives, in addition to sadness. I had my own slice of arcade fame back in 1994. At 13 years old, I dare say that I was the greatest Primal Rage player in Green Bay, WI. It was the hottest game at the mall, and I was unstoppable. As long as the challengers kept coming, I would sit on that machine for hours after popping in my original quarters. Some of the sore losers accused me of pi… Continue

Good luck with your move. I just "relocated" from New York to San Diego, and I'm shying away from San Francisco because I figure I'll last a month or two longer on cheaper rents down here before my money dries up. Hooray for Game Journalism!

Hey Brian, I'm just trying to get the word out about my site (looking for people to review) and I thought I'd hit you up. I run http://www.playitreviewit.com, which is an up and coming review site for gamers, by gamers. I'm looking to build a community of great reviewers, and I thought maybe you'd like to contribute some content.

I know how you feel about being in the mid west (Northern Chicago here) and I plan on moving to SF next year as well. In the mean time, if you're interested at all in writing reviews, or even posting previous reviews you've written, I'd love to have them. Hopefully, the site will grow steadily and you can say you got in at the beginning! :)

Never is about right. Here's to Milwaukee Video Game Journalists! It says you're looking to move to SF. Good luck with that, man!
