About Me:
I'm a recent college grad who would love to work full time as a video game journalist. At the moment I am an assistant editor for Gamertell.com, I just started writing for Siliconera, I occasionally contribute to Ripten.com, I occasionally contribute to Cerise Magazine and I wrote for Ctrl+Alt+Del's videogame sections.

As expected, I love video games. I also have a weakness for import games, despite the fact that my Japanese is atrocious. I also like reading and all kinds of music. (I am particularly fond of foreign rock and pop. Miyavi, UVERworld, and Belanova are my favorites.)

Did you know the Miss Bimbo bimbos can die?

Well they can. I received an funny little email today (which I nearly mistook for spam) notifying me that the 'bimbo' I created to collect information for an article had passed on. Its surprisingly expensive to resurrect her as well. I wrote about my bimbo's tragic demise at Gamertell. It's called "The short and grammatically questionable life of my Bimbo."

Important Importables: Games that might help you learn Japanese

I wanted to do a kind of fun article this time on games which might help people actually learn Japanese, since apparently publishers think NA gamers only want to know Spanish and French. So this was the result. I am really looking forward to English of the Dead, but I doubt I'll have the language skills to play it. XD

Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 2nd Season

I just received my copy of TMGS 2nd Season, so that means review time! I loved loved loved this game. It is just an example of everything that is good and right in a DS title.

If you'd like to read it, it's here.

Video Game Cross Stitches

After visiting Sprite Stitch and writing a piece on Gamertell on getting into the hobby, I decided to give it a go and do some of my own. My first was angel Kirby from the DS game Kirby Squeak Squad, and it just was so much fun to make and it turned out adorable. Then I decided t… Continue

So I've been getting really into Hana Yori Dango, thanks to you :).

I'm probably enjoying the manga the most. Even though I don't read them too often nowadays, I've just always been partial to manga/comics/graphic novels and such. I'm not too far into it, but so far, so good.

I tried out the anime, but it didn't really do anything for me. Even though it seems to keep pretty true to the manga, I'm not too fond of the art or voice actor choices.

As for the drama, I'm only watched about two episodes, but you're right -- much better than the anime! I'll try to balance out my reading with my watching so I don't get the story spoiled for me (the show obviously goes much quicker), but I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Because I've done all this since Monday, I think it's safe to say I'm pretty addicted :).

Awesome, thanks for the recommendation! I downloaded it today, and will let you know what I think once I get a chance to play it (assuming it actually does work with Vista!).

Simulation games are always a good time. If I could read Japanese, I'm sure I'd import a lot of them -- Japan gets so many! That's why I appreciate your reviews/impressions so much. Since I can't really play them myself, I get to live vicariously through you :P.

P.S. Sorry for the belated response!

No problem, I'm a total fan of yours :). Your write-ups on those niche dating games are always a fun read.

Thanks for adding me back!
