GameShark is looking to add to its roster of freelancers. A few items to consider before sending in a resume/sample:
We are a paying site. (Not a lot, but we do pay and usually even on time!)
You do not need any formal experience with another "professional" publication. This is an entry level gig. If you can write, I can use you.
You do not need a debug unit (doesn't hurt... but it's not a pre-req)
You DO need to meet deadlines and not annoy the editor.
You need a sense of humor. These are games. It's not 60 Minutes. Or even Dateline.
Your location doesn't really matter but we are in special need of west coast writers who are willing to do some light travelling to certain press events. Our staff is spread out across the nation so we need more writers who are closer to the action. This is in no way a requirement as we need more regular freelancers, but WC writers are of particular interest at the moment.
If you’re interested, have questions, or just want to talk about how awesome the Browns will be this year, send a resume (include genres and platforms of expertise) and a writing sample to: wabner@gameshark.com
Thanks,
bill
