Hey. Ive been interested in gaming for a long time now. I've got a full time job in another industry, but I find myself listening to gaming podcasts pretty much the whole day even when I'm not doing anything gaming related :) I've only recently star…

Yep, just a personal blog (me and a friend write there). I've only been writing for a couple of months, trying to work on my technique. Figured I'd do this for a while, get some experience then try to get some work with a 'real' site. It'd be easier…

Would be nice to have a few more Aussies around, that's for sure. Too bad our game industry tends to be a little bit... behind the rest of the world (putting it lightly).

The first of its kind on VJN! For all of us who eagerly await games for much longer than anyone else in the world. Of course, they're even sweeter when they finally get here. That's my argument anyway.

For those who cover or are simply fans of music in games.

Bit of advice needed

I've recently started a gaming blog where a friend and I discuss gaming related topics. The blog has obtained a level of attention (in terms of visitors/views) far more than I could ever have imagined we would get in such a short period of time. This has had the rather positive effect of giving me a little more motivation in pursuing my ultimate goal of working in a position as a paid game journalist at some point.

The next step for me is probably attempting to write a few reviews. I've tended… Continue

Ello! I read trough your site/blog a bit and you got a nice concept going on there. I like the discussions but if you want my opinion...well I'm gona tell you anyway.
It's not the text but the presentation. I was reading trough your last post about Magic. First 2 things I noticed:

1. White color that killed the eyes (made it hard to read after a while)

2. The wall of text. People in general get scared of those unless the topic is really really interesting and even then it gets tiering. Add a few pics or increase the font of the words. Group up something you said then group something the other guy said. In fact to be honest you could make a comic out of this and people love comics. Nothing to special. Stick comics are fun (just look at Order of the Stick) and you could make interactions of you and your friend in the comic both verbal and physical (people like violence). But if you keep it in the context it should get pretty fun. Add some jokes now and then and there you go!

Btw: I'm new to the whole journalism thing and what I said was strictly from a user point of view.

Hope it helps. I could help you out with the site if you like. I really need to find a site to write so yea :)

cheers!
