That doesn't seem super professional to me, but then again i've only been to two big gaming events, so i'm not sure what counts as "okay" in this industry just yet. Social networking IS on the rise, and seems to be a big part of the gaming community…
I've been told in the past that as a white person, my opinion does not count on this matter. I don't think it's racist though. It's not race hate, it's zombie hate. (Or Plagus hate now, whatever.)
RE4 was ground-breaking four years ago. Updated graphics are not a big deal, and the gameplay is unchanged. Don't get me wrong - I agree, they delivered on their promise, just as you said - and it was fun enough - but it felt too cut-and-paste to im…
I met the San Francisco Video Games writer at a post-GDC party, and she said it was a pretty good gig - but it's inconsistent. Some days she makes $20, sometimes she makes $400 - a lot of it is writing good headlines and promotion. She gave me an ex…
I played fallout 3 on an underpowered PC. It looked bleak and brown and ugly - and it suited the fallout universe very well, actually - so the lowered graphics weren't a problem.
I loved it - I burnt myself out on the game, but it was the most fun…
That's terrible to here. Sean (gamecyte) is a buddy of mine from way back in High School - he's the one that motivated me to start writing again.
I don't have a plan B, but I work on a freelance/Volunteer basis right now. I suppose I don't have muc…
I actually disagree with you on all three counts.
We may not be here to discuss business ethics, but we are here to discuss an industry - corporate industries, and it's more accurate to call these things franchises, because that's what they are - m…
That's fascinating, I've never heard that word pluralized before. I had assumptions of what it might be, but that was not one of them.
I'm not entirely sure what situation would call for a plural of penis.
Both of these were written shortly after I first started writing about games - like many of you, I hate to look at old work - but I was happy with my chat with Eric Nosfinger, and that Wii Music article is among the most commented articles I've writ…
To be honest, I'm surprised they offered to sell you one at all. How much was that, by the way? More than a regular unit? If it played commercial titles as well and it didn't cost too much more, it might be a good replacement for RROD - but I doubt…
Well, if you want to get overly specific, the internet dictionary describes journalism as either the career of writing news, or: "writing that reflects superficial thought and research, a popular slant, and hurried composition, conceived of as exemp…
Sean Buckley joined Infendo in October 2008 to cover West Coast press events, developer interviews, and general news coverage.
Sean was two years old when the NES was released in America, and has been hooked ever since. As he grew up he recycled aluminum cans and sold home-baked cookies door to door to buy each new gaming system as it came out. Through the years Sean has enjoyed playing games on Playstation 1 and 2, every Nintendo System (with the exception of Virtual Boy,) Sega Genesis, Game Gear, Dreamcast, as well as on the PC. Today, Sean spends most of his time gaming at home on the Wii, DS, or PC, opting to play contemporary 360 and ps3 releases with friends who already own the systems. He collects classic NES games, boxes, imports, and hong-kong pirate consoles.
Sean recently completed a BA in Radio/TV/Film/Theatre and a Business Minor at San Jose State University, and is aiming for a career in Media Journalism, Public Relations, or Audio/Video production.
