Stew, you still looking on this? And the games, does your site supply them, or does the writer have to?

This sounds crazy. Sounds like Greece's economy is even worse than it is in some other places? That said, I'm guessing that this does two things in your country: 1. Greatly reduces the number of writers who can make a living, or even try 2. Incr...

Requires registration just to see the application / details. Booooo. Also, you posted here earlier; I'm not familiar with the term "tender on requested work", more particularly the "tender" part. I remember your earlier post, I think; you're base...

I just kind of pay attention to the news and when I find a company I like, I follow them. Atlus, for instance, is a niche releasing beast and when I hear they're publishing a new game I usually turn my head pretty quickly.

At Snackbar Games we've had games from various sources: unsolicited copies on the doorstep, unsolicited emails on the...email doorstep and vice-versa, niche sites, Games Press Digest, corporate pages, various feeds, etc. I saw recently at Powerup...

About Me:
Editor and occasional reviewer at Snackbar Games, n00b blogger, level 3 freelance writer. Sometimes I do marketing work for a certain game company, but only occasionally.

I write a column for GameSetWatch, The Game Anthropologist. I am honored to be writing there. My work there has been linked by Kotaku once and cross-posted to GamaSutra numerous times. I've also written for Eurogamer.

I have gobs of ideas and want to write for more publications; if you like my stuff, hit me up. I have no more room for freebies--paying gigs only.

I consider myself competent at all aspects of game writing, no matter how formal or informal it is. What I do best is game culture, game communities, and interviews. I do reviews, as well; ask me for my genres.

Why do I use the word "Etelmik"?

I've not written this anywhere else. I made it up because I needed a name that I could use that would be short and would always be available when I'm making an ID. Because man, we make a lot of IDs. Also, I want to play online without using my real name. I had to figure out how to mix my player name and my writing name.

As for the actual name, I needed it to be unique and distinct--I realized this after I accidentally came up with two Roman prefixes and suffixes in the name-making process, like "us". That would change this name to "Etelmikus." See? Roman.
