Mainstream print journalism is such a terrible job market to get into. It almost seems like video game journalism is a safer choice at this point.

I think I'm a better writer overall since I started here over three years ago. However, I'm not entirely convinced that the games writing industry is entirely concerned with communicating the message briefly and with short, but info packed paragraphs.
A lot of times it seems like word count is king in this biz.
