I feel bad! I've been hanging out at Gameleon mostly. But I'll get cosy again, at least until I've run out of homework to put off.

At the moment I help my friend out at vooks.net which is a pretty cushy job, and I do a fair bit of freelance stuff on the side. Hoping to get my first thing in the escapist soon. Used to do a bunch of magazines and other websites but school and no…

The first of its kind on VJN! For all of us who eagerly await games for much longer than anyone else in the world. Of course, they're even sweeter when they finally get here. That's my argument anyway.

Ok cool I'll check out gameleon.net as well. Wow that's amazing about LA, wish you the best of luck ect. When you get them done I'd love to give em a read if you could send us a link!

Ha yeah we did news quizes bla. By the end of my degree throughout the courses I ended up just skipping them, praying that the 5% they were worth to my grade wouldn't come back and bite me on my ass.

Hey Jack :) Mostly I've been playing Call of Duty World at War, the Nazi Zombies secret mode. But I've also been struggling to finish up Fallout 3. What about yourself?

Well that would be the natural reaction. Afraid not though, he doesn't live that close to me, the plan would be well underway by now if he did :)

Ah, yes, there's a few of us involved with this plan now. I can feel it coming to fruition. He lives right next to me, you know. And they say no good can come of living in the UK!

Kudos on that 'lists can be good..., lists can be bad...' summation :)

I can't tell you how many games I feel the same about (Final Fantasy VII/VIII, Star Ocean 2, Super Mario World come to mind). It's that great? I'll have to check it out then, although I'm not a big "war game" person.

As I explained to my brother tonight, I want to play "catch-up" with the rest of the gaming world. I feel like I need to start experiencing a lot of these games to keep my "street cred."

Who needs money when you have a severely good bill-dodging ability?

It's funny, though; the more I am looking into ACTUALLY getting a 360 and the games I plan to get, the less "excited" I seem to be about it. I've heard so much about these games and all, but is it wrong that I am genuinely unmotivated by the controls in specific?

I'm sure I'll feel differently when I'm playing Mirror's Edge and L4D, but I've grown to cherish my Wii Remote.

Thanks a lot!

I'm still working on figuring out some of the Wordpress stuff, but some time next week I'm going to pull the two posts that are up now and put up our first podcast, and from there we'll be publishing a column every week to compliment the weekly podcast, as well as hopefully starting work on some more long-term feature stuff.

I really dig a lot of what's coming out of Australia's gaming culture, man. I think I've taken notice of you guys down there because the level of political gaming oppression down there seems to really strike a chord with me and my people at Dangerous Kids. Frankly, we've got an ax to grind with the lack of gaming acceptance even here in the states, and I bet you Aussie's know what that feels like as well as anybody.

Anyway, glad you like it so far, but I'm always up for suggestions from anybody on this network. I really just don't want to disappoint. :)

About Me:
Started work for non-VG-centric magazines in Australia about four or five years ago, moved on to several long-term online jobs working for Nickelodeon, Gamerwithin and a few others. Done a lot of travelling, attended my fair share of trade shows, I've got experience in reviews, blogging, walkthroughs and writing in general.

I frequently lie to myself. 'I certainly won't need a PS3 this gen' I said. 'I'll be fine with the Wii and 360' I said.

I get a bit restless from time to time. I like snuggling and yelling parties.

I like writing too, you know.

Little King's Story Review

It's my first in a while, probably since I started Uni, so don't be too harsh. Okay, be harsh.

I'm happy with it. It's long but therefore covers pretty much everything I wanted to cover. I tried to edit down some of the language but it still seems like I was hugging / straddling the game as I wrote it. Which is fine, because it's a really great game.

Trying to break out of that gameplay - graphics - sound formula I tend to revert to if I do… Continue
