Hello there! I'm just your average videogame enthusiast with a pipe dream of becoming a journalist some day. I'm working through my fourth year at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I'm studying philosophy and sociology, hosting a radio show, running around as an RC, and trying to figure how to break into the ol' Gaming Biz. Samples and sites I work for can be found on my website.
My specialties include RPGs, retro gaming and homebrew development (especially for the Nintendo DS and the Xbox), but I am willing to research and do almost anything. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Oh, and as for hobbies and the like, I enjoy computers, independent music (indie, hip hop, post rock, emotive hardcore), playing music, and writing when possible. Let me know if you're a fan of independent goodies as well.
I've been thinking of starting up my own workblog to catalog the pieces that I do as they go up, and finally got around to doing it early last week. If you'd like to take a peek at my latest happenings to get an idea for my work, feel free to take a peek here.
I just started blogging over at a new website (MyWiiNews.com), and decided to make my first original post about something I love - Wii homebrew and mods. I looked up a handful of sweet case mods, skins, and other wonderful projects that use the Wii as a canvas and put it all together. I think it turned out pretty good, and is certainly worth a peek here.
To be honest, I loved working for ZD until recently. Once they come out of bankruptcy this summer, things should be going smoothly there. I actually left because my paychecks were bouncing, but that only happened to a small percentage of people.
Yeah, the Blue Scholars are awesome. I'm actually pretty good friends with Saba due to all the work I've done at local radio stations over the year. Their upcoming stuff is going to be amazing.
Workin' on it *laughs* It's a much tougher market to break into there then here though. Not as much competition here due to lower levels of English = easier to break in in Singapore.
