Absolutely, and like I said, I never wanted to try to dissuade Shaquil from doing original reporting, but I think that when we started doing it, we were a little naive in our expectations. So what I said was a warning to not make the same mistakes...
Ben is giving great advice, but I would also offer a small word of caution. If you're going to start doing stuff like this, have realistic expectations. By and large, blogs are still the same, and they're not going to stop making the same old mist...
I'd agree with that. Honestly, there's just no way that anybody's actually going to fully believe that's what happened. They'll probably think you just blew it off or got in over your head and let the deadline slip.
Maybe the editor is a more tru...
Yeah, I've noted that as well.
My wife loves that I'm doing something I enjoy and as I haven't found a more permanent job alongside this one as well, when people ask what I do she just says I'm a freelance writer. When they find out I write about...
I'm a full-time freelance journalist writing for GamesRadar, CheatCC.com, GameZone, and SlidetoPlay.com. I also have a BA in Journalism.
I do a lot of work in the traditional press as well. I have worked with a couple newspapers in the Chicago-area, and with the now defunct Mint Magazine.
Also, I'm not sure if this counts as "traditional press" or not, but I work as a part-time copy editor for Georgia Today. Well...probably not the Georgia you would imagine. Think less, "east coast of the US," and more, "South West coast of the old USSR". It's an English language weekly published out of Tbilisi.
LOL, thanks! You can download all the tracks for free from our website, http://paletteswapninja.com -- and I'm supposed to working on the next track but I've dropped the ball. Busy time right now. :)
Hi Andrew! Thank you very much for the friend invite, I really appreciate it. I also appreciated your email too. Thanks and I will be replying back soon as I am finished up! Thanks again!!!
Hey, just saw your comment -- not sure why it didn't alert me to that earlier. I had planned to go to the Conduit event, but had a big deadline to hit and had to stay home, unfortunately. Did you attend?
I dont know if you check this or facebook more often but I created a new entertainment website. www.headburst.com
What you think? Wanna be a part of it?
Also, where the hell have you been?
For some reason I didn't get a notification about your follow up comment, so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. To put it mildly, I've been damnably busy for the past couple of weeks/month/month and a half. Lots of reviews going out. What about you? I imagine your work at TGR keep you pretty busy, yeah?
