Anyone interested in having a place to simply get their work out there on the big bad internets are more than welcome to come and post up some articles on the website I work for, MOREtotheGAME. We're a small, youth-ran site, geared towards letting anyone have their say. No-one at the site gets paid right now, but we hope for that to change in the future as the site grows and evolves.

We review a wide range of games, essentially anything the reviewer feels like playing. It makes for an interesting mix of brand new, retro and overlooked last-gen titles. We also run various features, including MTTG does Rock Band (Video), BargainBS (Reviewing those bottom-of-the-barrel titles often leads to hilarity) and Re-Box'd, our regular Photoshop challenge.

If you're interested, either shoot off an email to admin@moretothegame.co.uk or head on down to our forum or into the IRC channel (#moretothegame), we won't bite!

We at new multiformat gaming site Critical Gamer are looking to take on more staff. Do you have what we're looking for?

First of all, applicants must be aware that we only offer volunteer positions. Nobody at Critical Gamer gets paid for their contributions; but we hope for this to change one day.

The existing staff all have years of experience with video games and/or writing, and have previously worked on the multiformat games site GhostStorm. No formal writing experience is necessary. We ask only that you have two things: a passion for video games, and a passion for writing; ergo, you know what you're talking about, and you can make it clear to others what you're talking about. You would be using a combination of OpenOffice, Photobucket, and Wordpress to write and submit your work. If you're unfamiliar with these programs don't worry; they're both free, and simple to use. We'll be happy to offer help to anybody who needs it.

We are looking for:

news reporters
ps3 reviewers
Xbox 360 reviewers
Wii reviewers
DS reviewers
PSP reviewers
PC reviewers
article writers
walkthrough writers

So if you're interested in working for a new and exciting – and fiercely independent – video games site, contact media@criticalgamer.co.uk with at least two examples of your writing.

I'm currently looking for any job, I don't mind if it doesn't pay (I'm only 14, so money isn't exactly required) At the moment I can only provide the following services: Updating on gaming news/producing reviews on slightly older games. The reason behind this is because recently I moved to Greece, and I am waiting for my lovely Xbox 360 to come through. Thank you so much!

I'm the manager of www.ps3vault.com and I'm looking for dependable writers for posting news. Writing must be professional, with good grammar and spelling, as posts go straight to the site. Reviews are welcome too. Frequent (every couple of days) updates are necessary, though there are a couple of other writers, too (including myself). People who own a PS3 are prefered, obviously, and a real interest in PS3 gaming and the industry are huge pros.

If you're interested, message me!

Loads of sites will take you on unpaid if your writing is good enough and ultimately all of them are offering you experience in vg journalism. Some sites are of course more popular than others, such as GameStooge, N4G, Kotaku etc, and you will need to have a good standard of writing and the ability to produce engaging features.

Getting paid for your work, on the other hand, is a different story altogether. You’ll have to write voluntarily for a while i would think, but some people manage to go straight into paid gigs, so you never know.

Anyone else gonna write on this thread??

I'm currently studying English and scriptwriting at university hoping to make it into Game journalsim once i finish.
Although I have never had work published I have put together a small portfolio of reviews, blogs e.t.c. What would be the best site to write for part time? obv without pay - just to gain some experience.
