Because the world badly needs another social network
Looking for some writers (omg paying!)
Hey, everyone. Recently, I got hired on as the new chief editor of the MMO Life network (which is currently a work-in-progress). Right now, the main site of focus is MMOHub.org, and retooling it to offer better content, up-to-date posting of news/features/interviews/etc., and all of that fun stuff. (And changing the layout a bit and fixing the various bugs; a work-in-progress I thankfully have no hand in, so if the site looks wonky from time to time over the next few days that's why.)
Since they want me to get some quality guys/gals working on content, that means that I get to pick who I want to add to my "team," and even offer pay! The rates are yet to be fully determined (a few people writing so far at varying rates; largely depends on experience) but at the very least it's still going to pay better than most non-huge sites.
I figured, why not see if anyone from the VJN was looking for more experience writing, another source of pay, *a* source of pay, or even a new place to test their 1337 h4xing skills on. So if anyone here is interested in writing news and features, conducting interviews, or any other things you have in mind for a site primarily about free-to-play (or premium content-based) MMOs, email me at brendon ( AT ) mmolife.org, or send me a PM here. Just include a couple of examples, your resume if you have one, and whatever else you think I'd like.
Some sort of knowledge about/experience with MMOs (especially the new fad of free/optional content ones) is a plus, but isn't really necessary as long as you're a good writer and can pick things up quick.
Just because I know people are going to end up seeing this post seven months from now and then fail to see the posted on date, let's say people who are interested have until February 6 (2009) to shoot me an interweb message of some sort.

Just a heads up to everyone who has emailed/PMed/IMed/texted (yeah...) me about this, but I'm waiting until the 6th when the cutoff is to look over everything in earnest
